Small, sharp hooves scrape against the crumbling ashphalt as the petite painted mare gallops down the long abandoned highway. Her long white and black forelock is whipped into her eyes by the wind and she tosses her head playfully, uncovering her icy blue gaze. She continues to run, taking comfort in the rythmic beat of her hooves. She is too young to remember days when strange machines called cars once raced along this highway, but she has heard stories from her elders of how they were faster than even horses. She snorts at this thought, looking at the bulky metal creatures, lying still and rusted on the highway's shoulders. There is no way one of those contraptions could challenge her speed. She gives a small buck, skittering abit of the pavement, then slows to a trot. Her neck is arched high, her tiny ears perked alertly as she takes in her desolate surrondings. For miles ahead and behind, there is nothing but worn-out road. She slows to a walk, her black and white flank dampened slightly with sweat from her hard gallop. Her blue gaze sweeps the landscape once more, searching for any sign of life.

Jabari, a bay stallion, decided to go and check out the other lands that were around here. He had just claimed his lands and was now the king of Rockford Ridge. Now, he needed to find other equines who might like to join him in his home. Jarbari wanted to create a big family and a save place for others to live. The stud would do everything in his power to keep them safe. That was his mission. His goal in life. And now he was off on a mission, to find others to join him at the Ridge. His first stop, was when he say a young black and white equine. He was still quite far to tell the gender, however he sensed it was a young mare. He snorted and pushed on towards her in a slow canter.
As he got closer, he called out to her with a whinnie. He kept his body language calm and kind. The last thing the stallion wanted to do was spook the poor fae. He slowed his pace as he got closer, and he threw his head. Yes, it was a young mare. She seemed to have just got done with a rather hard run and was now cooling down. And maybe even looking for another to talk to. But he would soon find out. When he decided he was close enough, Jabari slowed to walk and introduced himeslf. Hello there. I am Jabari. He dipped his head in respect and waited for her reply.

The duo-toned fae's audits flicker towards the sound of approaching hoofbeats. Her sky hued optics scan for a sight of the figure, and she sees a bay shape. As the shape comes closer, the vix is able to catch it's scent. A stallion. She pins her ears slightly at this realisation but stands her ground as the stag slows before her. Everything about his posture suggests friendly intentions, so Rayen resists the urge to turn and take flight. Her lets her ears swivelled abit forward, into a more neutral position and relaxs her bod, as the stud speaks. She dips her crania in acknowledgement and takes a second before answering.
"Hello Jabari, " The painted equines pauses, looking the steed over again before continuing. "I'm Rayen." She finishes is her soft, sweet vocals. Her long tassel of mixed ebony and ivory swishes, though there is no flies and she arches her nape abit nervously.
