Beneath a thick canopy of leaf and branch, moves a solitary figure. Silently, like a stray ray of sunlight, the golden femme moves confidently through the undergrowth. No light pierces the foliage overhead, casting the forest into dim shadows. Something slithers near the equine's feet and she laughs softly, half rearing then bringing her fore hooves down heavily on the scaley creature. There's a sharp 'crack', as she fractures the snake's skull. She kicks the lifeless body aside and continues forward, moving deeper into the woods. Auds are pricked lazily forwards and Valkyrie moves out at a leisurely pace, enjoying the eerie dark and damp. She snorts in boredum, flicking her chocolate banner at some pestering bugs. Up ahead, the darkness breaks and sunlight floods a clearing, falling upon some crumbling ruins. The mare picks up her face, brown orbs gleaming with curiosity. She halts at the edge of clearing, flaring her delicate nostrils as she sifts through the woodsy scents, checking for any other equids. The scents of others are faint, the area has long since been abandoned. Stepping forth into to light, Valkyrie's pelt glows like polished gold, muscles rippling beneath it as she arches her finely chiseled neck and prances towards the ruins. She circles them, studying them.

Artemis' ivory body gleamed as she made her way through the spooky forest. Twin harks were pricked upright, acoustics cupping any faint noise that might come to them. Her hooves thudded softly on the ground ,leaving perfect impressions behind. A soft snort escaped her maw as she walked. Her long ivory banner whipped from side to side, thwacking her flanks to keep away unwanted pests that swarmed around her in annoyance. Another gentle breeze tugged at her fetlock. Her mane fluttered against her neck. Artemis' warm chocolate orbs were locked a head of her, scanning around for any movement that might come to them.
Above her, the sunlight peered out from behind a few fluffy white clouds, the rays cascading down through the branches. A faint mist snaked around the trunks of trees and around her ankles. This place was spooky, but she rather liked it here. A smirk formed on her ash grey labrums as she moved. It was nice to get away from her herd land for now, not that she had any herd members at this point, but still.
As she rounded the corner, her nares picked up the scent of a mare nearby. Curious, she followed it and spied her not too far off. Artemis approached her and stopped in front of her, letting her back leg bend so that her hoof rested on its tip. Whithers spazzed, keeping away unwanted pests that swarmed around her in annoyance. She parted her kissers and began speaking. Both ears were turned toward the mare as she waited.
"Hello. I'm Artemis, Ruler of the LaParfeit Ruins. What might your name be?" Artemis asked as she watched her and waited.

As the sound of approaching footsteps reached her, the sun kissed vixen turned from the ruins and trained her brown optics upon the intruder. She quickly appraised the ivory femme, dismissing any threat with a flick of her silky tassel. This fae seemed docile enough but Valkyrie still kept a cool, passive expression on her face. Acoustics flitted forwards as the other femme spoke, before the buckskin vix returned the introduction.
Afternoon Artemis. I'm Valkyrie, leader of, well nothing yet." The flaxen fae winked one of her chocolate voids and gave a cool, twinkling laugh.
