Shh, be q u i e t you might piss somebody off A tall, grey figure stood still on the abandoned road. The wind picked up, playing around with the mare's tail, blowing her forelock in different directions. She stood there, in silence. Alone. For a long moment, the dead silence stuck. The echo from the wind was quite unpleasent as it bounced off of all the once in-habbited buildings. It was a cold day, and as the mare exhaled, small grey puffs emerged from her nostrils. Taking a deep breath, she began walking. Her hooves making noise off of the pavement. So far, the noise was all that kept her company. For all she knew, her next victim could be miles away. A grin played at the edge of her lips. An almost demonic, yet angelic smile that could either scare you, or make you feel good inside. With a loud snort, she took off at a lope, her hooves making the noise that bounced off the pavement more loud.
Her stride was almost perfect. But alas; there is no such perfection in any creature. Not even her. Every inch of her body looked in perfect form, but how would she had known? She couldn't gaze upon a river and check, nor were there any reflective objects around for her too see. Her breath came out in smaller, more freaquant puffs as she extended her long legs changing from a lope to a gallop. Her tail flew wildly behind her, and only for a moment, she looked back. Only for a few strides she had galloped before she slowed down to her walk. The mare paused, and looked back.
Haunting moans suddenly surrounded her. The moans of what would appear to be, ghosts. When one was alone, anything could happen, and in this case, the mare's loneliness was so overwhelmed that she began to hear noises. She couldn't see in one eye, so alot of good that did. But the noises kept going on. Perhaps they were ghosts from her past. Her dam, her sire, her whole heard seemed to be haunting her. 'Make it stop!' she yelled. But who was there to listen? The empty walls of the once in-habited city? The sky? Whatever was around her? Finally, it all stopped. Everything became quiet. The dappled grey sighed, and closed her brown eyes.

! VOLUME !
i am a liar. i lied about everything i owned. i lied to this mare i had just met. she found out, left me stranded. i shivered with the cold. the sun was peeling off my pelt. i was becoming more lighter and lighter on the coat. i looked better now. my muscles were show off. not hidden under such thick fur. everytime now, i rub against a tree a tuft will come out and i would have a golden coat once again. i was not exited for my newly polished coat to show through and this summer i would show it off to all the mares, and maybe get a foal by my coat and personality. anyho, that mare just abandoned me. just smirking, turning galloping off. i did my part of attacking and swearing at her. but turning away i came back here. it was raining were i was, and i was worrying.
i stood there. cold as ice. my face was cold with the wind ripping if off. my tail and mane stuck onto my bodice. i looked like i was scared, but i stood under a tree. a sigh creeping from my mug as i waited. my crown low with dissapointment in myself for being a liar. though i normally never lied. this mare was preety and...the wind had just completly gone! thank the god of the wind! backing up as i heard a horse galloping towards me. it slowed to a walk, fear was in its eyes and i leaped as i heard the moan of the air. i snorted, looking down the old avenue. i walked quietly in the trees. watching her as she walked along. "make it stop!" i heard her yell. i laughed, but this was no laughing matter. i heard the wind die down and i walked towards her. a smile on my facade. "well hello young missy. i am volume. you had a mighty scare there." i said looking at her dappled coat compared to my palmino one!

Shh, be q u i e t you might piss somebody off Her dapple grey coat was dampened with a thin layer of sweat. Her grey ears turned in the direction of a sound. It was a voice. Now, this might have been very rare. Who'd want to talk to me? She thought harshly. It was a mere noise; a laugh of sorts. Then, it had came closer, but no longer a laugh, but a voice that spoke, "well hello young missy. i am volume. you had a mighty scare there." It seemed like an awkward introduction. And why in the world would she be scared? There were wierd noises, that almost freaquentlu ran through her skull. Creeping up on her at various times. She blinked her brown eyes open, and looked to see a golden figure standing near. The cold rain hit her smooth pelt like small needles, prodding her in every way it could. It was almost a nuisance. She breathed in deeply, inhaling the bittersweet scent of rain.
For many moments, there was nothing but silence. Just as before, she stood there. Quietly. Waiting. "And what is your business here?" She muttered, stepping closer to the stallion. She began to circle him, like a vaulture ready to dive in on its prey. Her brown eyes inspected him, looking at his coat. Some of it was his winter coat, which in time would go away. As she finished, she backed away a few steps, and tilted her light grey head to the side. "Well?" She said, impatiently. The mare stood there, a faint grin playing with her mouth.
